Developers

Four reusable packages.

The JavaScript libraries behind GenTap, developed by Rascallop. Build with a PixelLab client, workflow engine and desktop integrations.

Four free MIT-licensed JavaScript libraries. Commercial reuse is welcome.

Your applicationGenTap Corepixellab-sdk
PixelLab API client

PixelLab SDK

@rascallop/pixellab-sdk

API contracts, request construction and provider behaviour.

  • Request builders and parameter limits
  • Background-job polling and structured errors
  • Balance and entitlement handling
  • Response decoding and recovery of accepted image jobs

Portable ES modules. You supply the PixelLab API key, bounded transport and image codecs. PixelLab usage is billed separately.

Version 0.1.1 · MIT · initial API

Install and use

Copy the downloaded archive into your application directory, then run:

npm install ./rascallop-pixellab-sdk-0.1.1.tgz

Run the included example from the same directory:

node ./node_modules/@rascallop/pixellab-sdk/examples/basic.mjs

Use in your own ES module:

import { getPixelLabHttpMethod } from "@rascallop/pixellab-sdk/contracts/endpoint";

console.log(getPixelLabHttpMethod("/animate-with-text-v3"));

The included examples/basic.mjs is runnable with Node.js 20+ and makes no provider calls or credential writes.

Workflow engine

GenTap Core

@rascallop/gentap-core

Image, GIF and collection workflows for applications with their own interface.

  • Image and collection workflow execution
  • Persistent-character operations and guided recipes
  • Input, media and operation-order validation
  • Generation records and host-adapter contracts

Portable ES modules. Your application supplies codecs, transport, consent, credentials and output handling. Version 0.3 includes Living Drawing v8 and Birthday v5 with updated media-adapter requirements. GenTap-prefixed API symbols and document schemas are retained.

Version 0.3.0 · MIT · initial API

Install and use

Copy the downloaded archive into your application directory, then run:

npm install ./rascallop-gentap-core-0.3.0.tgz

Run the included example from the same directory:

node ./node_modules/@rascallop/gentap-core/examples/basic.mjs

Use in your own ES module:

import { GUIDED_FEATURE_DEFINITIONS } from "@rascallop/gentap-core/features/guided";

console.log(Object.keys(GUIDED_FEATURE_DEFINITIONS));

The included examples/basic.mjs is runnable with Node.js 20+ and makes no provider calls or credential writes.

Stream Deck infrastructure

Stream Deck Core

@rascallop/streamdeck-core

Runtime and Property Inspector components for other plugins.

  • Action execution, cancellation and deadlines
  • Key feedback and progress handling
  • Settings persistence and recovery
  • Property Inspector transport and UI primitives

Node.js 20+ for runtime helpers. Property Inspector modules are browser scripts and CSS. Your plugin supplies action handlers, policies and its Elgato SDK integration.

Version 0.1.0 · MIT · initial API

Install and use

Copy the downloaded archive into your application directory, then run:

npm install ./rascallop-streamdeck-core-0.1.0.tgz

Run the included example from the same directory:

node ./node_modules/@rascallop/streamdeck-core/examples/basic.mjs

Use in your own ES module:

import { sleep } from "@rascallop/streamdeck-core/node/async-primitives";

await sleep(100);

The included examples/basic.mjs is runnable with Node.js 20+ and makes no provider calls or credential writes.

Credential storage

Stream Deck Secure Store

@rascallop/streamdeck-secure-store

Credential persistence for Windows and macOS plugin hosts.

  • Windows DPAPI-protected persistence
  • macOS Keychain integration
  • Application-defined account allowlists
  • Application-defined storage identity and migration

Node.js 20+. Windows uses DPAPI; macOS uses the native @github/keytar dependency. Installation may require native build tools. Linux credential storage is unsupported.

Version 0.1.0 · MIT · initial API

Install and use

Copy the downloaded archive into your application directory, then run:

npm install ./rascallop-streamdeck-secure-store-0.1.0.tgz

Run the included example from the same directory:

node ./node_modules/@rascallop/streamdeck-secure-store/examples/basic.mjs

Import for your own integration:

import { SecureStore } from "@rascallop/streamdeck-secure-store";

// Supply your plugin UUID, allowed keys and Windows storage paths.
// See the included example for complete configuration.

The included examples/basic.mjs is runnable with Node.js 20+ and makes no provider calls or credential writes.

Using the reusable core

The PixelLab SDK can be used independently of the workflow engine. Neither portable package depends on Stream Deck UI, clipboard access or an output folder.

A new JavaScript host supplies its own transport, image codecs, inputs, output handling, credential access and user interface. The packages are not standalone desktop or mobile applications. Native applications need an appropriate integration layer.

These are independently developed packages. They are not an official PixelLab or Elgato SDK.

Versions and integration

These are JavaScript developer libraries with MIT licences. Install the downloaded archives; a public npm registry listing is not required. Their releases are separate from the GenTap plugin.

These 0.x versions are initial APIs. Pin the version and test your integration before upgrading. Guided workflows require your own provider and media adapters; access to a recipe does not include generation credits or guarantee the visual result.
